Interviews with Film Composers
The Veteran Composer Podcast features interviews with film, tv, game, and other media composers about how they do what they do. The goal is to educate film makers, and film composers on the art of scoring films.
Why the Veteran Composer Podcast?
It is a great time to be a film maker. You have more choices than ever in creating new and unique content, whether that is film, tv, internet, games, or some new kind of content platform that is yet to be developed.
Music is an integral part of the movie making process… but many film makers don’t truly know how to utilize it in the most powerful way.
How do composers create film scores?
How does music serve the film?

Who is Jon Brantingham?
I am a film composer living just outside Los Angeles California. I’ve scored numerous short films, and commercials, and I am a graduate of the UCLA Extension Film Scoring Certificate Program.
Back in 2011, I started another website, artofcomposing.com, which has focused on teaching the traditional craft of classical music composition. Through learning and teaching on that site, I decided to pursue a career in film scoring.
